Q: Which aluminum material is more suitable for making custom aluminum shells?

A: Generally, 6061 aluminum alloy or 6063 aluminum alloy is used for many products.

Q: Why do people prefer to use aluminum to make the shell?

A: 1. Strong machinability

The workability of the aluminum profile is excellent. Among various deformed aluminum alloys and cast aluminum alloys, aluminum has a greater change in machining characteristics. This is one of the reasons why everyone chooses aluminum.

2. Strong plasticity

The specific tensile strength, yield strength, ductility and corresponding work hardening rate of aluminum are relatively better than other materials.

3. High thermal conductivity

The thermal conductivity of aluminum alloy is about 50-60% of copper, which is very beneficial for manufacturing hot aluminum extruded shells, various heat exchangers, evaporators, heating appliances, cooking utensils, and car heatsinks.

4. Strong corrosion resistance

The density of aluminum profile is only 2.7g/cm3, which is about 1/3 of the density of steel, copper or brass. Under most environmental conditions, including air, water (or salt water), petrochemicals and many chemical systems, aluminum can show excellent corrosion resistance.

 In summary, aluminum alloy has the advantages of high strength, light weight, corrosion resistance, good decoration, long service life, and rich colors. It can make the surface of the product not lose its gloss and color within 20 years.
