3, precision aluminum extrusion mold requirements
The mold is the most direct factor that affects the dimensional precision of extruded products.to ensure that the sectional size of extruded product remains unchanged or changes little in the production, the rigidity, heat resistance and wear resistance of the mold must meet certain requirements.
First to ensure the mold under high temperature and high pressure is not easy to deformation, has a high heat resistance, more stringent for precise extrusion, requirements in the working temperature (500 ℃), mold material yield strength is not less than 1200 n/was. The second needs a high wear resistance, which mainly depends on the hardness and thickness of nitriding layer general requirements the hardness of nitrided layer above 1150 hv, nitriding depth between 0.25 mm to 0.45 mm, and the changes of the mould size of the nitride should be within 0.02 mm.
